Jess Scott is Assistant Professor of Christian Theology at University of Nottingham. Her interests are in theologies which attempt to make sense of the shape, purpose, and complexity of human lives. In particular 'mystical' theology across the Christian tradition, particularly those of Julian of Norwich and Simone Weil, in addition to Gregory of Nyssa. She has experimented by bringing artistic and architectural sources into conversation around this cluster of interests.
She holds a doctorate from the University of Cambridge. Her thesis title was: A Theological exploration of the shape of life and death in conversation with the biographical works of Gregory of Nyssa.
