Lika Zakaryan is a writer and photographer based in the Republic of Artsakh (Karabakh).
When the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War broke out in 2020 she started to keep and post her diary, in which she wrote about the war and the people caught up in it. The diary became widely read and remains a definitive chronicle of those forty-four days.
She works for CivilNet, an Armenian media outlet. She has studied conflict management and peace-building, and holds a Masters degree in Political Science.
