Wim Houtman is a senior editor with Nederlands Dagblad, a Christian daily newspaper in the Netherlands. After working for a number of years in politics and general news, he specialized in Church and Religion affairs. His duties took him, among other things, to two Lambeth Conferences; he interviewed two Archbishops of Canterbury, Rowan Williams in 2006 and Justin Welby in 2021.
He translated a number of books by Christian writer Adrian Plass into Dutch. In 2006 he co-authored a book with Dutch Roman Catholic priest Antoine Bodar on his life and views as a gay celibate priest.
Nederlands Dagblad was founded in 1944. It is the smallest independent national newspaper in the Netherlands, covering all general home and world news, with a special emphasis on Church, religion, and analysis.
