Edward is a writer and speaker in the field of criminal justice and faith. He is the co-author - with the Rev'd Jonathan Aitken - of 'Doing Time: A Spiritual Survival Guide' (Lion Books: 2021). Edward is a Patron of Prisoners' Penfriends, a Trustee of Sing Inside, an Ambassador for the Welcome Directory, the convener of Trinity Forum Westminster, and works as the Head of Trusts and Foundations at St James's Piccadilly. Edward was an undergraduate at the University of Durham, and holds master's degrees in Musicology (MA, Durham), Criminology (MSc, Oxford), and Theology (MA, Durham). He is now pursuing doctoral research on the 'through-the-gate' experiences of individuals who have found faith whilst in prison, supervised by Prof. Andrew Millie. Edward served an eighteen-week prison sentence in 2015.
