Dr Jenny Lander is training to be a priest in the Church of England. After completing her PhD in law at the University of Warwick in 2017, she held a lectureship and research fellowship in law at De Montfort University (2018-2023). Her research focused on human rights issues in Mongolia’s extractive industry, funded by the British Academy and the Independent Social Research Foundation. She has published academic articles, policy papers and public engagement pieces, as well as a book: Transnational Law and State Transformation: The Case of Extractive Development in Mongolia (Routledge, 2020). She currently writes and researches at the intersection of law, politics and theology, with a special interest in the philosophy of Gillian Rose.
